World Bank post for insolvency academic - World Bank's Insolvency and Creditor Rights initiative

News reaches me from UCL that Professor Riz Mokal has been appointed to the World Bank as a Senior Counsel. The press release notes:
"Professor Riz Mokal has been appointed a Senior Counsel to the World Bank, for a two-year period of secondment from UCL commencing next month. Riz will be co-leader of the Bank's Insolvency and Creditor Rights initiative, being responsible for the execution of the Bank's mandate to aid reform of insolvency law regimes in jurisdictions around the world, with a view both to facilitating economic development and to ensuring robustness in the face of financial crises. This is a fantastic opportunity for Riz to be able to transfer ideas he has developed in his research directly into policy-making at the highest level."
It is great news that an English insolvency academic is in at the very epicenter of World wide policy making in our area. Good luck to Professor Mokal!
